Monica Jones is Deputy Director, Programs, Educate Texas. As deputy director of programs, Monica serves on the Educate Texas College and Career Readiness School Model team, providing technical support to designated schools, Early College high schools and Pathways in Technology schools. Prior to joining Communities Foundation of Texas, Monica created pathways for college access through apprenticeships and workforce programs for Collin College, creating on-ramp programs for underrepresented groups and building opportunities to align curriculum and work-based learning. She has higher education experience in advising, student development and program development. Monica holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in counseling, both from the University of Arkansas. She is a former board member of the Black Alumni Society of the Arkansas Alumni Association and earned its alumni service award in 2015.
