Joi Washington is a longtime Media Borough resident, outgoing Borough Councilwoman, and dedicated community advocate. As mayor, she makes history as the first Black woman to lead Media Borough, PA. Joi has worked to improve infrastructure, support local businesses, and strengthen the borough’s vibrant community while ensuring growth benefits everyone. A 2008 alumna of Moore College of Art & Design in Illustration, she balances a creative career with public service, using her art and design skills to support her community and civic leadership.
