Dr. Pamela Gunter-Smith was born in Charlotte, North Carolina, and earned her undergraduate degree from Spelman College. She furthered her education with a Ph.D. in physiology from Emory University. After serving as the president of York College of Pennsylvania, she transitioned to a Senior Advisor role at WittKieffer, focusing on leadership transitions in higher education. She also served as Provost and Academic Vice President at Drew University. Known for her dedication to student success and community engagement, Dr. Gunter-Smith’s legacy is one of transformative leadership and unwavering commitment to educational excellence. Hailing from Nashville, she loves the water and is comfortable in her snorkeling gear.
