In July 2025, Cheryl W. Turner was elected International President and CEO of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. A Diamond Life Member of the sorority, she was initiated into the Lambda Sigma Chapter in 1975 at the University of Mississippi, where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Forensic Chemistry and a Master of Public Administration Degree. She is a certified public manager and holds a Continuous Readiness Certification from the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. Active in the community, church, and boardrooms, this mother and grandmother has hit the ground running, continuing Delta’s impressive history of activism, service, and improving communities and families.
