Superb Woman: Blythe Barnes

Blythe Barnes, Licensed Professional Counselor, MEd, LPC

Blythe Barnes is a Licensed Professional Counselor, MEd, LPC, and her passion is working with adults (especially Black women and men – BIPOC) to help them to embrace and value themselves, and navigate life’s transitions & adversities. She works with clients dealing with depression, anxiety, self-worth/self-esteem, grief/loss, trauma, co-dependency, maternal mental health, and co-parenting. A native of Shreveport, Louisiana, she received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Louisiana Tech University in Child and Family Science and her Masters of Education from the University of North Texas at Dallas, in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. The owner of Busy Bee LPC PLLC, she gained experience at Metrocare Services, Children First Counseling Center, Dallas County Public Defender’s Office, OSAR Counselor Outreach/Screening/Assessment/Referral North Texas Behavioral Health Authority, Pediatric Therapist Hickory Trail Hospital, and Counselor Lifeologie Counseling.
