Black Business: Thick Athletics Apparel

Thick Athletics Apparel is proudly a Black owned business by founder, Lita Lewis. Lewis admittedly never intended to start an apparel business back in 2013; it came about because of the demand from clients she trained who were motivated by fun, quirky phrases she would use to inspire them. Terms such as “thick thighs save lives, “love thigh self”, all of which were to empower women through body acceptance & empowerment. Responding to the demand, Lewis put these phrases on t-shirts and tanks, and a movement was born.
