At Mah Melanin, they are not just creating characters. They’re rewriting narratives and building bridges of understanding and acceptance. Mah Melanin is an apparel line of tees, hoodies, home goods, travel bags, and much more. Ardean, the founder and creator, had a burning desire to change how people of color were represented in the world. In 2020, she was introduced to the world. Her first character was Ken, a Black Santa, who was an instant hit with his signature gold chain and “S” Shoes, capturing hearts worldwide.
