Isiah Thomas was one of the greatest point guards in NBA history. He was not the biggest guy, standing at only 6 feet tall, but his presence was that of a giant on the floor.

Thomas helped lead the Detroit Pistons to back-to-back titles over his time in the Motor City from 1981-1994. Unfortunately, injury ended his career earlier than he would have liked, but he was definitely someone who people remembered for his impact.

His impact, in fact, was so big on the game of basketball that on May 24, 2000, he became one of six athletes elected to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. For what he did in his career — averaging 19 points, 8.8 assists and 2.5 rebounds along with multiple All-Star appearances and two titles — he earned that honor. Thomas today is an NBA analyst on NBA TV.
