Born on August 10, 1968, Gratha Lagail McGriff passed away on September 1, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, warmth, and an undying spirit that touched the lives of all who knew her. She was celebrated for her helpful nature and was often regarded as a motherly figure to many. She had a remarkable ability to bring people together, and her demeanor made her the life of the party.

Throughout her life, Gratha embodied a selfless spirit, always willing to lend a helping hand wherever it was needed. Those fortunate enough to call her a friend knew her as someone who would give you the shirt off her back. Her presence was magnetic, drawing in friends and family alike with her infectious energy. Gratha had a profound love for music, which often resonated in the joyful gatherings she hosted. Above all, she cherished her faith in God, which guided her actions and shaped her compassionate approach to life.

Gratha’s life will be celebrated during a viewing on September 11, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas, located at 4155 South R. L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, TX 75224. Following the viewing, her funeral service will take place on September 12, 2024, at 1:00 PM, also at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas  

As loved ones gather to remember her, they will undoubtedly carry forward the lessons of kindness, joy, and love that Gratha imparted to everyone she encountered. She will be missed deeply but remembered fondly for the light she brought into the lives of so many.
