The South Dallas Business and Professional Women’s Club, Inc. recently held its 62nd V. Alyce Foster Trailblazer Awards Luncheon in the elegant Chantilly Ballroom at the Anatole Hotel in Dallas, Texas.
Club President Carmilla (Candy) Bradshaw accepted the goal set by Trailblazer Chair Patricia Carroll to surpass all scholarship milestones previously reached in club history, and the 2026 South Dallas membership collectively rose to the occasion.
Director of Education Carla Dennis and her committee identified 10 worthy graduating seniors throughout Dallas County who were awarded a record-breaking total of $75,000 in scholarships.
Recipients of the scholarships included Nevaeh Parker of Yvonne A. Ewell Townview Magnet Center ($6,000); Kylle Kirby of Booker T. Washington High School ($6,000); McKenna Mattie McShann of Yvonne A. Ewell Townview Magnet Center ($6,500); Madeline McShann of Yvonne A. Ewell Townview Magnet Center ($7,000); Jermaney Speights of North Dallas High School ($7,000); Halili Moncriffe of DeSoto High School ($7,000); Ava Bolden of Yvonne A. Ewell Townview Magnet Center ($7,000); Jada Wilson of Booker T. Washington High School ($8,500); Imani Sims of Lakeview Centennial High School ($9,500); and Jason Warren, II of Garland High School ($10,000).
