Dallas is leading the world as we strengthen international partnerships, step boldly into the FIFA World Cup, and spearhead America’s financial services sector.
Last week, more than 40 foreign diplomats gathered in Dallas for my 2025 Consular Corps Summit. Representatives from nations across the globe met with local civic and business leaders to deepen international ties and explore new opportunities. Local business leaders highlighted Dallas’s unbeatable workforce and can-do spirit that rewards excellence.
Dallas is home to consulates of Canada, Mexico, Peru, El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala, and Korea. The city also hosts chambers of commerce for France, the European Union, Tanzania, and Ethiopia and Eritrea.
This summit strengthened Dallas’s existing partnerships and showcased the city to potential new partners, inviting more countries to open consular offices here to deepen their relationship with Dallas and open the doors to new business opportunities. To learn more, including which countries and local partners participated, read the full announcement here.
Dallas defines what it means to be an international city. Y’all Street is capturing the attention of business on a global scale, and Dallas Stadium will host more FIFA World Cup matches than any other city next year.
FIFA Volunteer Center
On that note, the FIFA World Cup 2026 Volunteer Center is now open at the Food and Fiber Pavilion at Fair Park.
With over 25,000 square feet, the entire facility will serve as the central hub for training and supporting volunteers in preparation for the world’s largest sporting event next year. In the coming weeks, 15,000 applicants will try out to be selected as one of the 6,100 volunteers for the tournament.
As Dallas gears up for this incredible opportunity, our volunteers are essential to making it a success. Dallas’s community-focused volunteer spirit is unmatched, and these volunteers will represent Dallas with pride as the city showcases its renowned Texas hospitality to the world.
A Walk Down Y’all Street
In other news, I joined Steve Doocy on Fox & Friends last Tuesday for a walk through Victory Park to share why major companies are moving to Dallas and why those already here are investing more in this city.
Unlike some other major U.S. cities, Dallas embraces economic freedom, which attracts businesses from across North America, particularly in the financial services sector. In the past decade, the city has added 100,000 new finance jobs and will add thousands more as major banking institutions like Goldman Sachs and Scotiabank deepen their Dallas presence.
And with new stock exchanges coming here—including NYSE Texas, Nasdaq Texas, and the Texas Stock Exchange—Dallas’s leadership in the financial services sector is only growing stronger.
All of this demonstrates that Dallas stands at the forefront of international engagement, global sports, and a rapidly rising financial services sector.
That’s all for today. Have a great week and a happy Thanksgiving!
Until next time…
