Monday was the next to the last day of early voting for this most recent election.
Election day is on May 2 and yes, here I go again.
First, you must know that this is a bond election that can do so much for children in Dallas Independent School District.
You don’t believe me? Just ask Trustee Byron Sanders, who so eloquently laid out the pros and cons, of this election.
I know some of you have voter fatigue. You’ve told me this and I understand because It seems like every few months, there’s another election.
So that’s why I’m trying to keep you from going to the polls on May 2nd and attempting to cast your votes for the primary runoff election which takes place on May 26!
There’s so much going on right now, with graduations, proms, end of the year events, Mother’s Day, event funerals and births, and on and on. I know you can get caught up.
But what I need you to do is make voting a standard. Practice voting in every election.
Dallas County Commissioner John Wiley Price said he hasn’t missed a vote since he turned 18. Last week he celebrated his 76th birthday!
What an accomplishment!
