After serving hundreds at Wellspring on Main the Chris Howell Foundation brings its community fair to Highland Hills Library in Dallas.
Arlington, TX, July 26, 2025 — Today the Chris Howell Foundation welcomed hundreds of Tarrant County families to Wellspring on Main in Arlington for its Summer Health & Wellness Fair, providing a much-needed respite from sweltering temperatures. With outdoor heat indexes soaring past 100 degrees, community members lined up to receive free fresh produce and vegetables on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies lasted.
In partnership with United Way of Tarrant County, Chase Bank, United MegaCare and a host of local service providers, the Foundation also offered health screenings ranging from blood pressure checks to glucose monitoring. United MegaCare raffled nearly 100 pairs of Nike tennis shoes to local youth, helping them start the school year in comfort and style.
Executive Director Dominique Bryant-Howell praised the turnout and the collaborative spirit of all partners and volunteers. “Today’s fair was about more than escaping the heat,” she said. “It was about showcasing what our community can achieve when we come together to address food security, health care and financial empowerment.”

The success of the Arlington event paves the way for the Chris Howell Foundation’s next Health & Wellness Fair and Food Distribution, which will take place Saturday, August 9 at the Highland Hills Branch Library in Dallas. Families can expect a similar lineup of fresh produce, complimentary screenings and wellness resources, plus another opportunity to win Nike tennis shoes.
