Civilized Fest organizer and Big Thought Program Manager Sean Walker shares why there’s an emphasis on involvement of young people with Civilized Fest.

“I think all too often we tell young people to wait for their voice to count, all while we continue to make the same mistakes and run in the same circles,” Walker said. “And more, now than ever, they’re recognizing the patterns that we’ve been in that have kind of held us back, and they’re ready and willing to speak out; and we just want to make sure we’re creating the space for them to do that.”
