Blair receives “Glaser Humanitarian Award”

Dallas City Councilwoman Lorie Blair  was one of two elected officials to receive the “Kenneth Glaser North Texas BLEWS Award” for her   exceptional  service to humanity at a luncheon held on April 26th in  downtown Dallas.

Dallas City Councilwoman Lorie Blair  was one of two elected officials to receive the “Kenneth Glaser North Texas BLEWS Award” for her   exceptional  service to humanity at a luncheon held on April 26th in  downtown Dallas.

Councilwoman Blair , who represents the 8th councilmanic district, was chosen to receive the award  because of her commitment to social change and his efforts to create goodwill among different groups of  people,” said Mike Williams, a founding member of the ten-year-old organization that promotes dialogue and  encourages community  projects by  American Blacks and Jews.

Williams said that the award was named for Glaser, a BLEWS co-founder and legendary lawyer who passed in February of 2024.

One of Glaser’s sons, Brian, attended the luncheon and spoke about his late father’s unyielding commitment to remaking the world,  and to the BLEWS organization which he co-founded.

The other award recipient,  Councilman Bill Roth, who represents the 11th councilmanic, said that he was honored to be recognized by  the BLEWS organization.

“Councilwoman  Blair is committed to the goals and objectives of BLEWS, said her representative, Kimberly Richards.

She is devoted  to creating bridges between the various people of Dallas, she added, speaking for the councilwoman who was out of town at a prior engagement.
