The Black Academy of Arts and Letters Inc. (TBAAL) is one of Dallas’ largest cultural arts institutions. Established in 1977 with a mission designed to promote, foster, cultivate, perpetuate and preserve the Arts and Letters of the African American, Caribbean and African experience in the Performing, Literary, Visual and Cinematic arts, TBAAL is known around the world for its many outstanding programs; and especially those geared towards youth. Under the leadership and direction of founder Curtis King, TBAAL showcases and cultivates talent; remaining true to its purpose, which is to promote, cultivate, foster, preserve and perpetuate the African, African American and Caribbean Arts and letters in the Fine, Literary, Visual, Performing and Cinematic Arts. In a beautiful facility that can be rented out for everything from performances to banquets, meetings to classes and receptions to wedding; TBAAL, located at 1309 Canton Street in Dallas, has so much to offer. Call 214-743-2440 and explore the possibilities, or simply make a donation!
