Thermon V. Ratliff Sr. was born on January 29, 1935, in the serene surroundings of Lucedale, Mississippi. With a spirit that resonated gentleness, he embraced life with a quiet strength and a caring soul that touched everyone he met. On May 31, 2025, in Dallas, Texas, Thermon quietly departed this world, leaving behind a legacy of love that will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew him.

Throughout his life, Thermon embodied compassion and kindness. He was a man of few words, but in his silence lay an abundance of understanding and support for others. His loving nature created a refuge for friends and family alike, inviting them to share their joys and sorrows in a space that was always warm and welcoming. He had an innate ability to make people feel valued, reflecting a spirit that had as much depth as the Mississippi waters that once surrounded his childhood home.

Thermon’s journey took him from the lush lands of Mississippi to various corners of Texas, but no matter where life led him, he cherished the moments spent with family and friends. His quiet demeanor belied the profound impact he had on those around him. He was a steadfast presence, demonstrating what it truly meant to be caring and loving.

His final days were a testament to the grace with which he lived. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects and celebrate Thermon’s life at the Golden Gate Funeral Home in Fort Worth, Texas. A viewing will take place on June 13, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM, allowing loved ones to come together and share their memories.

Thermon’s funeral service is scheduled for June 14, 2025, at 10:00 AM, followed by a burial ceremony that will take place at Greenwood Cemetery at 12:00 PM.
