OBIT: SEIMITRA LYNETTE NORTHCUTT

Seimitra Lynette Northcutt was born on December 5, 1975 in Dallas, Texas to Vivian Faye and Larry Clemons. A young woman of unwavering faith, Seimitra was an active and devoted member of Cedar Crest Church of Christ in Dallas, Texas where she lived her beliefs boldly and sincerely.

She received her early education through the Garland Independent School District and graduated from Lakeview Centennial High School in 1994. She began her collegiate journey at Dillard University in New Orleans, Louisiana and later earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Healthcare Administration from Southern New Hampshire University.

Known for her radiant spirit, quick wit, and boundless love, Seimitra’s presence left an unforgettable impact. Her family was her heart and she embraced her role of wife, mother, newly grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, and friend with pride and unconditional devotion. Whether she was lending a helping hand, planning a spontaneous adventure or making everyone laugh with her priceless facial expression, Seimitra had a unique gift for spreading joy and leaving people better than she found them.

Seimitra approached life with fierce determination and endless energy.

Incredibly intelligent and a natural problem-solver, she faced every challenge with strength, grace, and courage. Her kindness was magnetic, her humor uplifting and her spirit undeniable bright. Often described as “bubbly ball of energy”, she was the true embodiment of both inner and outer beauty.

Those who knew her best will remember her as outgoing, dependable and full of light. She spoke the truth with love, stood firm in her beliefs and brought a sense of fun and authenticity into every space she entered. She could be

no-nonsense when it mattered but always with care and compassion behind her words.

Seimitra lived life to its fullest. She loved to travel, shop, and spend time surrounded by those she loved most, turning ordinary moments into treasured memories. Her legacy is one of love, laughter, faith and resilience. Although our hearts ache in her absence, we celebrate a life lived with passion, purpose and generosity. Her light continues to shine through the lives she touched and the lessons she left behind.

On Monday, June 2, 2025 at the tender age of 49, God sent His heavenly angels to take Seimitra home. She now joins a host of loved ones in the great heavenly reunion: her beloved mother, Vivian Faye, “Bibbie” Clemons; nephew, Corey “Redd” Jones; grandparents, Alonzo and Oderia McCrainey; aunts, Cloteal Williams, Margaret Chatman and Rhonda McCrainey; uncle, Frank Dickson; great-aunt and second mom, Glory Dean Mayfield; and parents-in-law, Cephas Northcutt Sr and Mary Northcutt.

Left to cherish her precious memories are: Her devoted husband, Cephas Northcutt Jr of Mesquite, TX her loving children, Zachariah Ervin, Darrow Northcutt, Vale Northcutt, grandson, Liam Ervin, father, Larry Clemons, siblings, Marquiez “Shon” McCrainey, LaQuinta “NayNay” Ervin (Aubrey), Vella Sittner (Mark), LaToya Wilkinson (Nick), Kelvin Offord and Charles Offord, sisters-in-law, Renee Derrick, Cynthia Northcutt and a hosts of aunts uncles nieces, nephews, cousins, Cedar Crest Church family and dear friends.

Seimitra’s light, love and laughter will forever remain in our hearts. Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure. She was deeply loved and will be missed always.

A viewing will be held on June 13, 2025, at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas, located at 4155 South R. L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, TX 75224, from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The funeral service will take place the following day, June 14, 2025, at Cedar Crest Church of Christ, located at 2134 Cedar Crest Blvd, Dallas, TX 75203, starting at 11:00 AM.
