Next year the Plano Chamber is celebrating 50 years in existence and Dr. Cheryl “Action” Jackson, of Minnie’s Food Pantry, is the President of the Plano Women’s Division. Over the years, she attended the luncheons, was voted as 2018 Community Partner of the Year and supported its mission. The 2019 recipient of the National Association of Black Journalists Angelo Henderson Award for Community Service, Cheryl received the gavel this month, becoming the first African American woman to hold the President position.
