Superb Woman: Vyllorya Evans

Vyllorya Evans is a Golden Life Member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority,
initiated in the Spring of 1976 at the Dallas Alumnae Chapter. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Humanities from Mississippi University for Women. A retired Federal Civil Servant, she is a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church – Washington, D.C. She established the Southwest Renaissance Development Corporation at Westminster Presbyterian Church, which annually awards post-secondary scholarships to inner-city students. Her numerous honors include the recipient of The Merit Award presented by the Mississippi Historical Society; Founder’s Award from The African American Museum, Dallas, TX, and 2015 Founder’s Award from The Heads Up Foundation.
